Our daily devotional focused on Mark 11:24 today which states, "Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." I'm still mulling it over and desiring to pray with that type of complete faith. The devotional added, "The type of prayer that empties us of faith frequently arises from focusing our thoughts on the difficulty rather than on God's promise." (p. 18) Bruce and I began our new year by listing our blessings and then specifically listing our prayer requests/desires/dreams. We then spent time in prayer offering these things "in faith" to God. This was a new thing for us to do at the beginning of a year and we are resolved to continue to pray "in faith" and believe and trust God. I'm excited to have a written record both in my journal and in this blog to record God's answers.
